March 2026 Content Recap

Today marks the end of March, and 2026 continues its onward trudge. March also is the end of my first quarter, and - as you’re reading this - I’m currently on my reset weeks. I’ve talked about this a bit on my vlogs, but I always take two weeks between quarters to catch up on life and house admin, consult where I’m at in terms of my writing projects, and plan a nice approach for the next quarter. And, you know, if I play some Pokopia in the meantime, then I guess that’s just what it is....

Hello everyone, and welcome to a chill catch up of some fun stuff for March! This year, so far, has been quite full for me. The world is worlding, my research is researching, and I’ve got some big news coming down the pipeline from my own personal life that I can’t wait to share at some point soon. Hopefully it’ll be soon. Sometimes it does feel like shouting through a burning fire that I just published a book, with the state of things at times. But I hope that my updates and the things I...

2026 is plodding on, and it’s been raining almost consistently throughout since January. The skies have been gray and the ground wet all year so far. The gardens I normally walk through on strolls are all flooded. Most of Salisbury is fully underwater - some of which is planned for with the flood plains, and some of which is not. Looking ahead today before writing this, and it looks like I get a whole two days without rain coming up (woohoo!) but hopefully that means there will be a reprieve...

Well, it’s time for another check in regarding my slow progression in my Mythology and Taylor Swift project. Despite what feels like, sometimes, to be a snail’s pace, I have to remember that I did only pull the trigger in October, so it’s only been four months. Research is slow going. Which is always a little frustrating sometimes - I wish I could leave a day’s worth of work and have more than just a page of notes on something I may not even end up writing about in the end product. Research...

February has, so far, been incredibly wet here in Salisbury. It’s been raining almost nonstop for what has felt like months - a lot of the city is underwater at the moment. It’s making my walks a little difficult. The gardens I normally walk through have become part of the river. Means I’ve been cooped up a lot more than I normally am, which has been a little hard for my body and my mind which is often prone to roaming. Not that I’ve been actually able to do a lot of catch up on fun pop...

Holy crap! It's already the end of January! 2026 has felt both like 300 years and also the snap of the fingers at the same time. Just... how? Anyway, I won't dwell too long on why it's been so rough, or why it's also rather light. Sometimes, in the darkest moments, some of the most beautiful things can come to light. Not that I'm putting my own stuff in that category, more what I look at or how people come together. Regardless of where you are in the world right now, I think being kind, being...

Happy New Year! And welcome to 2026! It's a new year, but it's the same ol' newsletter. Today, we're wrapping up some of the stuff I've been writing, reading, and enjoying in the past month. So, let's get into it! What I'm Writing So, past Vivian wanted to take a break. Past Vivian was super excited to be able to take off for the holidays. Past Vivian somehow convinced herself that I would still be able to stay on top of Incidental Mythology postings without any problem. Past Vivian was...

One less of a few things in December - one less vlog, and one less substack - but I hope you all understand that it helped with the break. Also, I figure most people will be rather busy anyway. Apologies to those of you who aren't - I'll try and make it up to you by having some amazing stuff in January. Anyway, let's get into what all I made in December. Substack Posts The posts this month weren't intended to be themed, but it did kind of end up being a bit more skewed toward horror than I...

December's a bit of a weird month in terms of fun content I'm enjoying. The end of the year comes with a lot of rush to finish projects, which on an evening or weekend leaves me a little tired. So, instead, I turn to re-watching things and just kind of vibing on the couch. But, I thought maybe I'd just be open about what it is I'm re-watching and stuff, because I think everyone's in this kind of mode. What I'm Writing Speaking of rushing to finish projects, I've been writing a lot of the blog...

November has come and gone, which is always a bit sad. November is my favourite month of the year, and I always get a little dispondant to see it go. Well, that, and I'm typically also looking down the barrel of loads of work to try and get it done before December's holiday breaks. I will, however, be taking some time off my regular postings near the end of December. Just one less blog post, and one less vlog, so not the end of the world hopefully. But it'll be nice to actually be able to...
